Welcome back to another edition of The Beat Frequency, College Park's own wild tribute to the phantasmagorical. That word just makes me think of the circus.
Anyway, we started off the show with some new Joanna Newsom from her recently released Have One on Me, along with some new music from She & Him, The Swell Season and Alphabeat. We threw in "Particle Man" for fun.
The Thievery Corporation track was a gorgeous song that has fantastic lyrics. Look it up.
My favorite song of the week was rediscovering "This Must Be The Place (Naive Melody)" from Talking Heads. I forgot how much I love this song.

Ok, but I have to talk about this one. "Make You Feel My Love" by Adele is what we played on the show today, but it's a Bob Dylan cover. When I was younger, I knew the Garth Brooks cover really well and it was one of my favorite songs. It's beautiful. It's the one song that I play on guitar really well. It's also the song I was attempting to play when I broke a guitar string today. And so it goes.
