The Beat Frequency usurps SGA's timeslot...

I needed a radio show this week. So I took one. Luckily, the SGA conveniently didn't have a meeting so I stole their slot on WMUC2. You can download the show here for a week:
http://wmucradio.com/stream_ripper/wmuc2/wed/ click on SGA_Meeting_1800_2200.mp3
(available until next Wednesday)

This was a show of sad songs, and songs with words I cannot play on FM radio. Silly FCC. The Beat Frequency is usually a rather upbeat, fun time, but sometimes all you want to hear is sad songs. Sad beautiful songs. That was tonight's show.

Pretty much most of my sadness was due to the knowledge the Pushing Daisies is getting cancelled. Tonight's episode was good anyway.

Playlist is here (apologies for the weird numbering):

Person I'd Most Like To Meet

Ok, yet again, I finish watching Chuck longing to meet the person responsible for the music selection.

Can You Tell by Ra Ra Riot
is one of my favorite songs and it just ended out this week's episode of Chuck.

It made my day. Just like Skinny Love by Bon Iver did when it was on.

Seriously, if you're out there, I would love to meet you.

Show 11.21.08

This was a show filled with optimism. Blind, beautiful optimism. Stay tuned for next week's show filled with depression and cynicism. Good times!

Dear Television...

Thank you for giving the show Chuck excellent music that I can steal for playlists on the radio. http://www.tunefind.com/show/Chuck

I would like to let you know that I'm upset with you for not posting the SNL parody sketch of Beyonce's "Single Ladies" music video with Justin Timberlake dancing ridiculously.

That is all for now.

Sincerely,

The Beat Frequency
