Haha...Spandau Ballet. I know their song "True" essentially from The Wedding Singer. I had no idea that was their actual name until this week's Modern Family aired, with Edward Norton playing their fake bassist. That episode was ridiculous.

We also had back to back doubles of Frightened Rabbit and Metric and another Florence + The Machine song. Yay.

As the show was the one before Thanksgiving, we played "Alice's Restaurant Massacre" by Arlo Guthrie. My dad's favorite.

Today I played a bunch of music including a song off of Florence + The Machine's album Lungs. I adore that whole album. I also played "Gimme Sympathy" which I also became obsessed with after playing on the show.

"Mr. Telephone Man" was played because I broke my phone this past weekend, I think from overuse.

I also played the new Alphabeat song "The Spell." They're still great.

"Jugband Blues" was featured because I found out that a song I have liked for a long time ("The Littlest Birds" by The Be Good Tanyas) featured lyrics from it.
I don't care if the sun don't shine
I don't care if nothin' is mine
I don't care if I'm nervous with you
I'll do my lovin' in the winter

I like these. Particularly, "I don't care if I'm nervous with you."

There were rumors that Aerosmith broke up this week, so I played their song at the beginning.

The Chartjackers song was a request from Rachel. The concept of this song is really cool. Check it out.

The rest of the show was a giant mix, but I thought it was pretty good.

This was the week I was obsessed with the song "Alone." Oh Heart, I love singing your ballads in the shower. Thanks Glee for putting that back in my head.

I'm thinking that about 50% of this playlist was about a boy. Oh music, why are you so good?

Oh, and "Tom's Diner" was for Yee-Ann. Apparently Suzanne Vega is the "Mother of the mp3" because this song was used in making the audio compression scheme of the mp3. Learn something new everyday.

Jonathan Coulton's "Mandelbrot Set" was for my friend Rachel's birthday today and for everyone in my computer science class who had to do that bloody Mandelbrot Set-related project. Happy Birthday Rachel!
